I'm new on yate and SS7, and I would like to receive suggestions about what
is wrong in this config.
If more information is needed, please let me know.
Your help is really appreciated.

Hello friend,

For use the cisco with SS7 you have to use the ciscosm, in your config you use m2pa,

Change this config for ciscosm, in the yate wiki have the config for this,

Any question, dont hesitate to ask.

Bye

I'm new on yate and SS7, and I would like to receive suggestions about what
is wrong in this config.
If more information is needed, please let me know.
Your help is really appreciated.

In this case SIGTRAN M2PA is used for SS7 signaling and E1 only for ISUP
controlled voice circuits. In Cisco all timeslots are assigned to MGCP.

Hello friend,
For use the cisco with SS7 you have to use the ciscosm, in your config you use m2pa,
Change this config for ciscosm, in the yate wiki have the config for this,
Any question, dont hesitate to ask.

Hi!

"Remote Unavailable" means no answer was received from the remote ISUP. Yate
periodically sends CVT as configured and expects an answer, even a CNF
(Confusion).

However, an UPU (User Part Unavailable) is received instead for User Part 5
(ISUP) with cause 1 (Unequipped)

<s7snm:NOTE> Unavailable part 5 at 7-225-4, cause 1

Please verify with your partner that you have the correct remote ISUP Point
Code (in your case 7-225-4) and circuit codes (you have 1-255 with some gaps).

Your configuration is unusual in several ways:
- You are using E1 circuits in an ANSI network
- 7-225-4 appears to be both a STP (it has routes behind it) and a SEP (it has
the ISUP User Part)
- You don't have an alternative or backup route to ISUP

In a typical configuration you would have 2 adjacent STPs with one or more
ISUPs or other user parts (SCCP, TCAP, etc) on a different Point Code but with
a route through both STPs.

Please try to obtain a simple diagram of the network topology to confirm your
routes. I suspect the ISUP SEP is not 7-225-4 but one of the other nodes you
have routes to.

Regards,

Paul
